Jakub Petružálek[1] (born April 24, 1985) is a Czech professional ice hockey center currently playing with Russian team Amur Khabarovsk of the KHL.

Playing career

Petružálek was drafted by the New York Rangers, 266th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Before having a chance to play for the Rangers, Petružálek was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes along with a fifth-round conditional pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft (Tomáš Kubalík) for Brad Isbister.[2]

On May 15, 2009, Jakub left the Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL and signed with Lukko of the SM-liiga for the 2009-10 season.[3] For the 2011-12 season, Petružálek will be playing for Amur Khabarovsk of the KHL.
